Review: The happy mail

By January 24, 2017Review

Tina and I first connected on Instagram last year. The cutesy, colorful photos she posted drew me in and when I realized that everything was made out of chocolate, I was sold. The happy mail is a chocolate delivery service with an edge. Each of the products are handmade, at home by Tina and her artistic flare shines through each. There is an online shop selling chocolate slabs, classic biscuits made from solid Belgian chocolate in gorgeous pastel colours, the option to have bespoke items created for you and lots more. I wasn’t contacted by The happy mail to do this blog post but I love their brand so much that I wanted to share it with as many people as possible. On a personal note, I am so thankful that Tina and I “crossed paths” on Instagram and she was an incredible support to me when I was having cold feet about starting my business!

In March last year, my boyfriend secretly got in touch with Tina to make me a bespoke item for my Birthday present and it was by far the best thing I’d received. I love the attention for detail on each piece – I was due to do a half marathon the following day and my slab included medals made of golden oreos/rainbow fizzy belts plus a white chocolate camera in the corner and an array of other pick and mix sweets and biscuits set into the solid chocolate slab. Afterwards, I found out that during the creation of the piece, Tina had sent Samir a sketch of ideas and worked with him to make both a beautiful and delicious chocolate slab and that was most definitely achieved.

All of The happy mail’s products can fit through the letterbox which makes them perfect to send to friends, to bring something special to a meeting or just to treat yo’self. If you’re ordering an item as a gift, Tina can arrange the delivery so that it arrives at the time you request or if you choose standard delivery the item will be with you in 2-3 days so you won’t ever be waiting long for your chocolate treats. Tina’s business has been unsurprisingly growing in success and she can also cater for large parties or weddings. The happy mail range is very affordable and with bespoke orders Tina will work with your budget so that there are no unexpected costs at the end. Let’s just say.. I am counting down the time until I have a big Birthday or wedding to arrange (*wink* if Samir is reading this.. just kidding..or am I?) because The happy mail will most definitely feature.

I decided to order a couple of things from the Christmas range because after seeing the snaps on her Instagram I couldn’t resist and I’m really excited to show you them. I chose the Candy house  for Samir’s little sister and a Christmas cacti set which I gobbled before snapping a photo. Each of the products came in a brightly covered box with a clear lid and a cute sticker. I’m a massive sucker for stationery & pretty packaging and Tina definitely delivers and it’s this attention to detail that makes The happy mail stand out from other mainstream chocolate brands. I love the randomness of the candy house decorations, complete with a milk bottle chimney, an ice-cream cone and a shrimp! Despite looking ridiculously attractive it’s really the chocolate that steals the show. The chocolate used in all of Tina’s goodies is extremely thick and absolutely delicious – they definitely don’t skimp out on quantity or quality.

Tina also very kindly sent me some Belgian chocolate covered Reese’s cups as an extra festive treat and they were hands down the best chocolate I’ve ever had in my life. Each Reese’s cup is completely covered in thick Belgian milk chocolate and topped with a white chocolate jazzie. They are super rich and I thought I could only handle one.. and then I ate three.

Now that Valentine’s day is just around the corner, Tina has launched a new range of products and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them. True to form, the goodies came wrapped to perfection and really brightened a boring day in the office. My favourite is the seahorse slab, I adore the cute pretzel and ice cream decorations so much!

If you’re stuck for a gift idea or want to treat yourself to something unique, I can’t recommend The happy mail enough. The communication throughout all of my ordering has always been brilliant and Tina really goes the extra mile to make sure your delivery is special. You can really tell that each box is packed with the love and the products not only look attractive but taste to match. If you aren’t already following Tina on Instagram, go and do it. Her profile is filled with pastel coloured heaven, cute stationary and of course.. chocolate.

If you want to order some goodies visit The happy mail online store or email Tina: and let her know that I sent you.
